From 24 November 2007 through to 16 March 2008, the Deutsches Technikmuseum will put on an extra kids' exhibition in the scope of neuStart - Mobility without oil?: The novel Am Heinrichsplatzplayground offers kids from pre-school age up to 10 years the opportunity to experience the development of mobility in a municipal context comparable with Berlin and interactively extend their knowledge in a fun way.
In the so-called "Heinrichsplatz" square, the kids can build their own exhibition which contains elements of a past and present-day traffic junction in the form of a walk-on model. In doing so, they interactively learn stories and background information and acquire technical knowledge all about mobility. The future is created by the kids themselves. Recognising the present and the past enables the kids to develop an understanding of the future.

On the Heinrichsplatz children can experience a mixture of exploring on their own and guided discovering. They set off with a trained mentor and a companion, the Heinrichsplatz Sparrow, for an adventure in building, discovering and redesigning.
This programme is in German only.
Am Heinrichsplatz is developed by id3d-berlin, gesellschaft für themengestaltung mbh, www.id3d-berlin.de on behalf of Deutsches Technikmuseum.
